Dental
The dental clinic maximizes the oral health and dental readiness for the five wings and 88 joint units, providing a full range of general dentistry and preventive clinical services. We provide emergency dental services to all active duty and eligible beneficiaries, screen records and perform necessary dental exams and treatment to ensure all military personnel are cleared for deployment and contingency response in support of global mobility missions.

- Endodontic (Root Canal) Therapy
- Periodontal (Gum) Therapy
- Exodontia (Extraction of Teeth)

Priority of Care
Active Duty
The primary mission of the 87th Dental Flight is to maximize the dental readiness and oral health of active duty Joint Base members. Priority for access to care within any Air Force Dental Clinic is governed by Air Force Manual 47-101. A policy letter establishing priority for care categories of active duty personnel is available at the reception area of the dental clinic.

Dental Sick Call
Sick Call is available Monday through Friday (duty days): 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. For after-hours dental emergencies, patients should call the Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-874-2273. During business hours, patients with dental emergencies should call the Appointment Line at 866-377-2778.
Dental Emergencies
The following are usually considered dental emergencies:
- Severe Pain
- Severe Swelling
- Uncontrollable Bleeding
- Acute Trauma
Dental Options Outside of Military Dental Clinics
For dental care outside of a military dental clinic, TRICARE offers dental coverage for service members, families and survivors. Additionally, retired service members, their families and certain survivors may qualify to purchase dental coverage through the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program.
